Thanks for dropping by! I'm Laura Edwards, a story artist and graphic designer based in the Washington, DC metro area. I specialize in storyboarding, comics, and illustration in addition to brand design and digital media (you can check out examples of my graphic design work at my other site).
In a nutshell, my main passion behind my work is helping people feel seen, especially those who feel misrepresented or underrepresented in media or otherwise just plain invisible. I believe that stories, as well as art in general, play a quiet, but important role in society that can help people understand another perspective to a subject or problem that they may not have considered before. They also let people know that they're not alone in a thought or feeling they have, even if it's something like "Oh my gosh, I thought I was the only one who likes to roll up their peanut butter bread like sushi before I eat it!"
When I'm not working on art-related things, I love to cook, learn about weather, earth sciences, and psychology, and jam out to video game and show soundtracks (the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series is criminally underrated).
